What made you invest in Zanzibar and why Fumba Town Development?
I was working in Tanzania 5 years ago and that’s the first time I visited Zanzibar. I fell in love with this place, its people, its climate and nature. 2 years back we (I mean me, my wife and my son) had a 1 month vacation spent in Zanzibar. A friend of mine showed me Fumba’s advertisement and we have decided to take the chance to have a home in such a wonderful place.
What future do you see in your investment in Fumba Town and how secure do you feel regarding your investment and Zanzibar?
I consider Fumba project to be a part of my future life. I am going to make more investment and start a business in Fumba. All investments are pretty risky all the time. Talking to Katrin Dietzold and people who are involved I see serious intentions to change the world around. I believe in this project and want to be a part of it. The project is moving ahead. You can see it from the permanent updates. You make investments partly along with project’s progress so it makes me feel secure about it.
What is it with Zanzibar that attracts you the most?
Zanzibar itself. I definitely have plans to become Zanzibarian. My wife and son they love the local climate, nature, ocean and food.
Will you be living yourself in the house/apartment you purchased or how will you use it?
Yes. We want to move to Fumba Town. We will be living there ourselves. Maybe we’ll rent a room just in purpose to save some money on utilities.
What is it that you are looking forward to the most in Fumba Town?
I want to see this town built. I want to live there and do small business. I believe this town will become a big next step in my life.
