Franko Green, the head of Fumba Town Service Centre and the main thinker of how to make our city sustainable and green, presented our achievements in front of the delegates of the East African Permaculture Convergence in Uganda this May 28-29, 2018.
The size and impact of Fumba Town was received with great appreciation by the delegates. Especially our impact in addressing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) signed in 2015 by the majority of states around the world, made a great impression and gave room for many future collaborations and developments.
“It was great to meet the different permaculture activists from East Africa. We have formed an African Permaculture Association whose goals, principles and strategies are formulated presently. Permaculture is a timely tool to address the worldwide SDG. We want to widen the movement and share our experience and knowledge together with other actors in the East African region as well as the rest of the continent .” Franko “Green” Göhse
